Installation

One Click Theme Setup

The Recipe Blogger Theme was developed to use the new One-Click Demo Install feature. With the click of a button, the Recipe Blogger Theme will be installed along with all of the plugins we recommend and our sdemo content, making your site appear just like our DEMO SITE in just a few minutes.

Once installed, all you need to do is modify the Theme Settings and update with your preferences.

To use the One-Click Theme Setup, perform the following steps:

  1. Backup your website database and files
  2. Under Appearance > Themes, click the Add New button near the top of the page
  3. Upload the .zip file: recipe-blogger.zip
  4. Activate Recipe Blogger Theme
  5. Upon activation, you will be taken to a page where you can run the optional automated setup. Click the blue button for Install Pack – this will begin the installation process
  6. If you are not automatically redirected to the Theme Setup page, you can find it at:
    Genesis > Child Theme Setup
    {website}/wp-admin/admin.php?page=genesis-getting-started

Recommended Plugins

We’ve curated a few plugins we think will help you use Course Maker Pro. The following plugins will be automatically installed and activated during the One-Click Theme Setup:

  • Genesis Blocks
  • Simple Social Icons
  • Genesis eNews Extended
  • WPForms Lite
  • WP Recipe Maker

Demo Content

When the One-Click Theme Setup is finished, you will see there are a few new pages created: Homepage, Recipe Index, Landing Page, GUTENBERG OPTIMIZED Page, About, and Contact.
You will also notice there are 10 sample blog posts created(only if your wordpress is fresh Install) – feel free to modify or remove these demo posts and pages as needed.

You will also notice there are some categories created too – feel free to modify or remove them as needed.

The new Homepage and Blog pages will be assigned under Settings > Reading

We are not adding Blog page on Demo install as this page be any page that can be set on Settings > Reading and will show all posts same as archive style

Demo Content Looks Different?

Sometime because of Site have not enough posts to display then it looks different then demo. Demo content only installed if WordPress site is new Install.

Installing Theme

Recipe Blogger Theme from Anchored Design is built exclusively for the Genesis Framework. If you have not already purchased the framework, you can do that here.

Recipe Blogger Theme requires Genesis 3.0 or newer. Update your website to the latest version of the Genesis framework before installing Recipe Blogger Theme.

Download Your Theme

After your purchase is completed, you will receive an email confirmation with a download link to the Recipe Blogger Theme. Your purchase of the Recipe Blogger theme includes a file called recipe-blogger.zip — this contains all theme files.

  1. Install the Genesis Framework.
    From your WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance > Themes.
    Click “Add New.”
    Click “Upload Theme.”
    Browse your computer to upload the file you purchased from StudioPress.
    You do not need to activate the Genesis Framework.
  2. Install Recipe Blogger Theme.
    From your WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance > Themes.
    Click “Add New.”
    Click “Upload Theme.”
    Browse your computer to upload the file called “recipe-blogger.zip.”
    Click “Activate” when the file is finished uploading.
    You will be taken to a screen where you can run the optional One-Click Theme Setup

Demo Posts Install

This document last updated on: October 26, 2020

When WordPress is not fresh install, demo posts not going to import during one click theme setup.

To import demo posts manually

#1. Admin > Tools > Import > WordPress > Install Now

#2. Unzip Theme Files

Theme Files include demo posts and widgets files that can be found under “demo” folder.

#3. Run Importer

Import coachingplus-posts.xml/recipeblogger-posts.xml depends on theme you installed.

#4. Upload file and import

  1. Assign Author to existing author or import author
  2. Import Attachments so all posts images also get imported. check “Download and import file attachments“
  3. Submit

After import, screen will show “All done” message

NOTE: Sometime Featured images not set on import because its how wordpress import work so that may be you need to set manually otherwise import works great.
